Volunteers

The volunteer firefighters of the Cazadero Fire Department are neighbors serving neighbors—highly trained, always on call, and deeply rooted in our redwood community. From wildfires and storm-related incidents to medical emergencies and remote-road rescues, they respond 24/7 with skill, courage, and compassion. Beyond the sirens, they maintain equipment, drill regularly, and lead public education on defensible space and evacuation readiness, helping residents prepare before disaster strikes. Their service is powered by countless unpaid hours and supported by community donations, mutual aid partners, and CCSD oversight—proof that Cazadero’s safety is built on commitment, teamwork, and local pride.
